Keene Valley Neighborhood House, a non-profit assisted living residence, is seeking a caring and dedicated individual to join our healthcare team as a Lead Medication Technician (Med Tech). In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications to residents according to physician instructions, maintaining accurate medication log books, coordinating with pharmacies for prescription renewals, and coordinating with other med techs. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 12:30pm-8:30pm. The salary is $43,500/year plus great benefits.

Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or higher; or high school degree (or equivalent) plus prior experience in medication management. We are willing to train a smart, capable individual.
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications to residents based on physician directives and established protocols.
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date medication log book to track administration and any changes in medication.
- Coordinate with local pharmacies to manage prescription renewals and ensure timely delivery of medications.
- Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure proper understanding of medication needs of residents and report any observations regarding effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with all NYS Department of Health safety and regulatory standards related to medication dispensing and storage.
