Job Summary:
The Outside Sales Account Representative will be responsible for generating new business and managing existing accounts within the HVAC and kitchen equipment markets. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to identify and meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will be motivated by results and passionate about providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, and industry events to expand the customer base.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct effective sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our HVAC and kitchen equipment offerings including: demand service, preventative maintenance, and service retrofits (equipment installations).
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive proposals and quotes for clients, ensuring alignment with their project requirements.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the installation and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, account status, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Follow-Up: Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services.
- Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to the overall sales growth of the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred; or 5 years related industry experience.
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the HVAC, kitchen equipment, or facility service industries.
- Understanding of HVAC systems and kitchen equipment, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 25% of the time.
