What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Guide position at KemperSports Logo Green?
The purpose of the Recreation Coordinator position is to enhance the various experiences for guests through fishing trips, sporting clays and archery. This is done by serving as a guide for fishing, sporting clays and archery excursions. The Recreation Coordinator will also help manage the daily shift operations of the recreational facilities and other related areas to maximize guest satisfaction and revenues in accordance with company policy and regulations under the direction of the Recreation Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as a fishing Guide and Boat Operator.
- Practice safe techniques while instructing on Sporting Clays Course
- Respond to guest needs in keeping with the hotel quality process and ensure maximum satisfaction.
- Maintain a safe work environment for employees and guests.
- Complete daily reports and logs as required.
- Be knowledgeable of the recreation program and able to perform all positions supervised.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Assist the Recreation Manager as required.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Education: One to two years post high school education or the equivalent experience.
Experience: 1 years’ experience operating boat and marine equipment; Florida Fish and Wildlife License or ability to get one by start date. Knowledge of gun handling techniques and Gun Safety & Boat Safety; ability to converse with guests
Skills and Abilities: Requires a working knowledge of all positions supervised and recreational facility operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: One to two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s). Prior background in guided fishing and firearm handling and shooting preferred.
Skills and Abilities: Requires a working knowledge of all areas within the recreational facility operations.
