Scope of Work:
Under the guidance of the Kennebunk Savings Insurance Personal Lines Team Leader, this candidate will service a book of business that they will be responsible to retain. The incumbent will work with clients and insurance carriers to assure customer needs are being met. In addition, they will be licensed to assist customers with the addition of insurance coverage to existing policies, to renew polices, or to cross sell business and provide customer support to an agent with a book of business average in sophistication
Essential Functions (3):
Renewal Review & Marketing - Review and if necessary re-market existing accounts, average in complexity, in order to advise clients appropriately during renewal period. Educate clients on the value of insurance, informing them of industry trends, rates, features or disadvantages of various policy options. Analyze exposures for renewal clients and prepare comprehensive submissions for marketing.
New Business - Work hand in hand with production staff to input, market, follow up and proactively offer enhancements to coverage. Identify exposures, obtain underwriting information and provide appropriate insurance coverage for clients.
Daily Servicing - Process a variety of items inclusive of but not limited to: Changes, Certificates and ID cards, Claims, Cancellation Follow ups, client inquiries as well as carrier questions accurately and efficiently. Prepare accurate policy summaries and claim reports when needed.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
Promotes the Kennebunk Savings Brand by recommending our products and services, supporting our community focus & commitment to being a premier employer
Understands, supports and adheres to applicable organizational policies/procedures and state/federal regulations
Responsible for supporting agents, creating and maintaining client files, client data and other clerical duties
Assisting clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts, meeting service and sales delivery standards
Respond to carrier requests for additional information in a timely manner
Properly documents files in agency management system to mitigate errors and omissions exposure
Attends planning meetings and stays current on changes to the various carriers utilized
Responsive to partner department requests as it pertains to client coverage (i.e. loan underwriting)
Maintains follow-up and suspense system for outstanding orders and correspondence
Consistently emphasizes the importance of teamwork in the department and company at large
Responsible for keeping abreast of company news and information
Responsible for completing required training and policy review
May serve on various committees
May assist in training new staff members
Willingness to take on additional tasks and duties
Certifications & Licenses Required:
Property & Casualty License
CIC,CISR or AAI designation preferred

Proficiency with Insurance Property & Casualty Coverages, Carriers & Products
Displays high level of regard for trust and confidentiality
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Carrier websites.

Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Effectively uses analytical skills to solve coverage issues as well as identify client needs.
Prior knowledge of Insurance Requirements is preferred

Desired Job Experience:
1 year of related insurance experience
Experience in a professional, service focused and fast-paced environment
Desired Education:
High school or General Education Diploma
