JOB SUMMARY
To teach a combination of social studies classes offered in Grades 9-12 for the 2025-2026 school year, which may include dual credit classes through Seattle University’s Matteo Ricci Program.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in history or an adjacent field
- Master’s degree in the specific content area or a related field
- Washington State Teaching Credential (or ability to obtain one)
- Familiarity with educational technology
- Recent classroom experience, preferably in a high school setting
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess the skills and abilities to:
- Work with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds and learning abilities
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Effectively utilize educational technology to enhance the learning of students
- Use data to inform instructional practices
- Work collaboratively within the department on curriculum and assessment
- Be flexible and resourceful
- Be organized and an effective communicator with all members of the school community
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary is dependent upon experience, certification, and education according to Kennedy Catholic’s faculty compensation schedule. For the 2024-2025 school year, a teacher’s salary ranges between $54,333 and $103,123. The salary range for 2025-2026 is forthcoming.
