Kennel Assistant

Job Summary
As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of animals in our care. This position involves daily interaction with pets, providing essential care, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for animal welfare and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs.

Duties

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, and exercising.
• Clean and maintain kennel facilities to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff.
• Support dog training sessions by reinforcing commands and behaviors.
• Handle animal waste disposal safely and responsibly.
• Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets' well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 to apply for position.
• Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic dog training principles is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and pet owners.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
