What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class Aide position at Kent Youth and Family Services?
KYFS is hiring a Class Aide for our Early Learning programs: Head Start and ECEAP. This position works with the teaching team to provide comprehensive learning experiences for children that will help them develop in an appropriate manner, based upon age and developmental stage. And helps to enhance the parent’s role as the principal influence on the child’s education and development.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Ability to work effectively with children, families, community members, and staff of diverse backgrounds.
· Ability to work as a team member.
· Ability to use effective organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to provide training and support to volunteers.
· Ability to follow directions and guidance from the teaching staff.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written format, in English.
JOB TYPE/SCHEDULE: Part-Time, M-F, up to 25 hours per week depending on work schedule.
MISC: Depending upon agreed upon working schedule, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid holidays on a prorated basis. 403b retirement with an employer contribution of 5% after 12 months of employment and meeting eligibility requirements.
