What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUDP position at Kent Youth and Family Services?
Kent Youth and Family Services (KYFS) is hiring a SUD Professional to work at our main office in downtown Kent. Full Time or Part Time schedule is available.
This position plays an integral part in assisting KYFS in meeting the needs of its clients and the community that it serves by providing ASAM assessment, diagnosis, and individual, group, family and case management treatment services to youth and families in an outpatient/school based setting.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have Washington State SUDP credentials
· Registered with the State of Washington as a Substance Use Disorder Professional in good standing.
· Excellent communication skills: written and verbal.
· Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
· Satisfactory completion of Washington State Criminal background check.
· Commitment to serving adolescents and families and building a strong clinical program.
· Experience working in school settings preferred
· Experience with working with the EHR system Credible, preferred
· Must be able to work evenings as needed to meet client needs.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide culturally competent outpatient substance abuse counseling to adolescents and their families.
- Administer ASAM assessments with youth
- Ensure complete, thorough, well documented SUD records in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards to track the level and quality of SUD services delivered into the EMR system (currently Credible) meeting required timelines.
- Facilitate treatment groups for assigned youth.
- Provide case management for assigned youth.
- Complete all progress notes and required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings, clinical consultations and in-service trainings.
- Seek continuing education and training to maintain state certification and/or related to providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents and families.
- Maintains solid professional community relationships, particularly in the Kent School District, justice system, and internal mental health department
