What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Manager position at Keowee Key Property Owners Association Inc?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Train and document training for all dining staff in service, menu familiarity, and daily specials.
- Coordinate with Executive Staff to effectively market special events in the dining room and bar specials.
- Responsible for cleanliness, preventative maintenance and set up for Cascades Dining Room, the Bar, the Terrace and Patio.
- Responsible for weekly availability report, scheduling and communication of dining staff.
- Responsible for verifying pay schedule, gratuity in payroll system and approving timesheets for payroll.
- Works with HR on recruiting, interviewing, and training new employees.
- Follows company procedures for promotion and wage increases.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise employees for end of shift duties: side work, ticket, tip out, etc.
- Handle daily staff relations.
- Maintain and promote a safe work environment.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meeting with FOH & BOH.
- Coordinate nightly set up of dining room.
- Check with the Chef for any specials or potential issues; update the POS.
- During dining service, touch all tables to ensure members and guests are satisfied with their dining experience.
- Be on the floor during the entire meal period to ensure smooth service and address member issues.
- Responds to member insights relevant to dining service as required.
- Communicate quality concerns with executive kitchen staff.
- Maintains proper uniform, grooming, and hygiene standards for staff.
- Assist in completing inventory.
- Escalate to Food and Beverage Manager on any supplies that may be running low.
- Maintain a complete knowledge of the menu, wine list, beer selections and liquors available and train staff to availability.
- Research training opportunities as required for Sommelier, TIPS & Serve Safe Certifications and other relevant training opportunities.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager.
