What are the responsibilities and job description for the FRC Court Maintenance Crew Member position at Keowee Key Property Owners Association Inc?
Duties and Responsibilities:
Mornings:
- Courts 1 and 2 – Remove debris daily, Monday – Saturday.
- Courts 3, 4, 7 and 8 – Ensure daily watering of courts on a schedule worked out between the Director of Tennis and the Tennis Committee, such watering to take place between midnight and 4:00 a.m. during the warmer months and, on an “as-needed” basis at other times. Remove debris daily Monday through Saturday. Conduct daily grooming of these courts to include brushing courts (dragging, as needed) and sweeping lines. Sweep off brick patios under shade islands daily. As needed, remove excess top dressing, repair low spots, hammer down line nails, roll courts, particularly after heavy rains, and remove weeds and algae within the court fences.
- Check and remove all trash.
- Refill all water coolers with fresh ice and water.
- Any other maintenance jobs related to the tennis court area that may come up.
Afternoons:
- All Courts – Check nets to ensure correct height and to identify needed repairs at least once per week. Check windscreens daily and repair or replace, as necessary. Check white net tapes (net cords) and clean, as needed.
- Courts 5 and 6 – Once per week, tractor-drag courts to reestablish proper sand distribution. Remove excess sand, as needed, Court safety is an issue here.
- Courts 3, 4, 7 and 8 – Water courts daily during warm weather daylight hours on a schedule worked out between the Director of Tennis and the Tennis Committee. Water at other times, as needed. Check daily and adjust sprinkler heads, as needed, for proper water distribution. Drag courts and sweep lines daily after watering. Sweep up and remove loose top-dressing buildup along lines and under the nets as needed.
