Description
Kett Engineering is accepting applications and pre-qualifying candidates to be test drivers/Technical Specialist on the 1st shift. Successful candidates will be up-to-date on the workings of the in-cab technology that comes in new, high-end vehicles. This is a data collection campaign to map all the major expressways in Los Angeles and San Francisco as well as the connecting roads.
We are seeking reliable, technically savvy people with a general knowledge of how automobiles work.
This is a temporary project starting early January and running to the end of March depending on business needs it could extend.
1 month of San Francisco Travel required. All lodging and travelling expenses will be paid by KETT.
Schedule:
Monday - Saturday
7:00 am - 5:30 pm (10 hour shift)
Overtime available daily and weekly
Job Summary and General Purpose of Position:
The Test Driver follows the direction of Lead Driver and/or Project Coordinator, performs various driving services on vehicles per shift according to customers specifications and represents Kett in a professional manner.
Essential Functions:

Demonstrate ability to drive all routes trained on, with integrity and consistency

Ability to test vehicle infotainment systems

Prepare accurate driver reports and other records on a daily basis, document observations in a clear and concise manner

Perform related driving/vehicle prep work as assigned.

Assist with training of drivers

Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be Tech Savvy and have knowledge and experience with vehicle infotainment systems.
Skills and Experience: Must have at 4 years of licensed driving experience and possess a current operators license. Must have a clean driving record with no points, moving violations or at-fault accidents.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Job requires sitting standing, and bending for approximately 6-8 hours on a daily basis.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
