SHIFTS AND HOURS

  • Day shift working 5 Days a week, approximately 36 hours per week
  • Must be available for an occasional but rare call-in

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

  • Follow preventive maintenance schedule / instruction and complete reports, as requested.
  • Maintain, inspect and repair facility and equipment which may involve plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical equipment repair or similar.
  • Maintain and inspect Power equipment, Emergency generators and maintain power level of battery.
  • Maintain and inspect Fire Alarm system to include testing the system. Check condition and readiness of extinguishers on a regular schedule.
  • Maintain and inspect and lighting system throughout facility.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate or GED Equivalent.
  • Experience in maintenance or facility operations.
  • Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and tools required in the general building/maintenance trades.
  • Knowledge of maintenance equipment operation and ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
