- Plans, directs, and manages staffing and development of employees by effectively communicating company strategic goals; conducting effective and timely performance appraisals; and ensuring all training for employees is completed.
- Assumes overall responsibility for P&L/budget, safety, sales, and personnel.
- Instills and upholds a customer service culture within the company that fosters retention, relationships and loyalty, positioning Keystone for increased growth opportunities.
- Establishes and executes Keystone’s business plan in a way that best utilizes the resources of the company, producing progressive results through growth and retention.
- Ensures compliance with company safety policies and procedures and follows applicable laws and regulations.
- Consistently reinforces safety messages by conducting behavioral observations, safety briefings, “tailgate” meetings, and facility safety walk-throughs.
- Manage a program of safety and equipment maintenance to avoid breakdowns and limit safety hazards.
- Develop and implement systems that reduce expenses and maximize the utilization of all assets within the assigned territory.
- Monitor the daily pricing and contracting of refined fuels and lubricants to effectively manage inventory risk.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and vendors, distributors, patrons, and employees.
- Keep abreast of industry trends or changes to accurately answer patron inquiries and to increase innovation and ensure compliance it being met.
- Generates sales and works with the sales teams for promoting and performing sales calls, retention calls and sales activities; meeting the customer growth goals and managing pricing and margins to meet gross profit goals.
- Controls operating expenses by monitoring employee productivity through use of the distribution system, service scheduling calendar, etc. to manage and optimize personnel and vehicle expenses.
- Coordinate to obtain required state/local licenses/permits/certifications for work being performed. Ability to deal with code enforcement officials, regulatory personnel and permitting jurisdictions.
- Prior management and sales experience preferred.
- Computer skills and Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reporting documents, professional journals, safety/technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Familiar with contracts, leases, agreements for service, and vendor requirements.
- Ability to lead and manage a geographically dispersed group of employees
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on team building and developing a positive rapport with company employees as well as customers.
- Proven history of ethical business decision and integrity.
- Within first six months in the position, complete appropriate training, and certification requirements.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record verified by MVR and able to obtain and maintain all required certifications, licenses and permits.
- Knowledge of DOT and CDL with hazmat endorsement.
- The candidate will be highly responsible, flexible, and dedicated to delivering results under pressure along with the ability and willingness to work long hours and be on-call as business conditions warrant.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
