About the Role
As a Daycare Teacher, you will create a nurturing environment for young learners, focusing on fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You’ll introduce foundational concepts through creative play and structured activities, preparing children for school life.
Ideal Candidates May Have Transferable Experience in Roles Such As:
- Childcare Specialist
- Early Childhood Educator
- Paraprofessional
- Behavioral Aide (ABA)
- Teaching Assistant or Substitute Teacher
- Family Support Worker
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate, engaging programs
- Utilize diverse educational techniques, including storytelling, sensory play, crafts, and early STEM activities
- Promote social skills and self-esteem by guiding positive interactions and communication among children
- Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards in the classroom
- Track developmental progress and regularly communicate with parents to enhance each child’s learning journey
- Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure a cohesive teaching approach
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a teaching or childcare role (e.g., preschool teacher, daycare provider)
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
- Strong communication skills to connect with children, parents, and team members
- Certification in child CPR (preferred)
- BA/BS in Education or a related field (preferred)
