What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child and Family Therapist position at Kids in Distress?
The Master's Level Clinician/Therapist conducts In-home/Outpatient Individual and Family therapy with youth and their families in Broward County:
- Therapist will be working with clinical areas, including but not limited to: ADHD, anger issues, divorce issues, grief and loss, and school adjustment.
- Therapist will be working with multidisciplinary teams such as the Dependency system.
- Sessions take place in the client's home, school, pre-school, after care program, or in the community.
Job Duties include:
- Assigned case load of 15 - 17 clients.
- Manage caseload and required documentation for clients.
- Completing initial biopsychosocial assessments.
- Completing Treatment Plan and Treatment plan reviews.
- Documentation of weekly clinical sessions.
- Some case management to link client to additional resources if needed.
- Day shift: Monday - Friday.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Applicant needs to be eligible to apply for a Registered Intern license or have a license with the Florida Department of Health in the fields of Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
- Valid Florida driver's license with full-time access to a reliable vehicle (proof of vehicle insurance required).
- Two years of experience and Florida licensure are preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Bilingual skills a plus.
