KidsKare P.C. Family Dentists is Hiring a Certified Dental Assistant Near Farmington, NM

We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to assist with procedures, patient care, and office functions in our dental practice. We will rely on your excellent communication skills, as you’ll communicate with patients and staff members to maintain a welcoming environment. You will also provide administrative support by answering phones, scheduling appointments and handling paperwork. As a Dental Assistant, we want to see quick decision-making abilities and accuracy. Since you’ll work closely with dentists and dental surgeons, being skilled in clinical skills is essential. Your role will be to help us provide high-quality dental services while meeting the needs of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists and dental hygienists in performing dental procedures as directed by the dentist.
  • Gather and clean dental equipment and instruments.
  • Gather patient information (e.g. history, treatment plan, insurance etc.) during consultation with the dentist.
  • Answer patient questions on aftercare, teeth whitening and oral care.
  • Prepare materials (e.g. water, cotton, plastic masks etc.) for patients.
  • Ingestion of anesthetic for dental procedures.
  • Assist patients to recover from sedation and monitor vital signs (e.g. blood pressure, pulse etc.).
  • Sterilize instruments and equipment to prevent infection.
  • Organize medical supplies and maintain inventory.
  • File patient records (e.g. insurance forms, x-rays etc.) in the correct order inside a cabinet or drawer.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by ensuring that all used materials are disposed of properly .
  • Perform administrative tasks such as typing documents, printing labels and scanning files.
  • Perform other.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
