Billows Electric Supply is one of the region's largest suppliers of electrical equipment (lighting, distribution, generators, and supplies), with 19 locations serving NJ, PA, & DE. We supply both the residential and commercial construction markets, as well as industrial, healthcare, educational, gaming, and governmental markets. We field a team of sales, warehouse, drivers, accounting, marketing, purchasing, inventory control, and IT associates, that together, provide our customers with a high level of quality and consistent service.
Summary
A driver at a Billows Distribution Center will be required to drive a 14 - 26 ft. box truck or a van. He/She will drive our vehicle in a safe manner adhering to all regulations (company, local, state, and federal). A driver will transfer and deliver material to appropriate destinations in a timely manner and assist with loading and unloading. Driver will maintain Pre/Post inspection reports along with daily delivery records and customer signatures. Ensures truck emergency, safety, and mechanical equipment is in proper working order and reports to management when it is not working properly.
Responsibilities and Duties
An individual must be able to learn and utilize the technology made available to their position as to ensure quality communication and efficient workflows for the organization.

• Safely operate delivery trucks. Vans, 14' - 26' Box & Stake Body Trucks
• Deliver (loading/unloading) shipments to jobsites, businesses, and other Billows Branches
• Pick up product at local warehouses
• Properly process and maintain daily delivery records and obtain customer signatures
• Perform Daily Pre/Post truck inspection reports
• Professional and courteous interaction with customers and Billows personnel
• Miscellaneous duties as necessary including warehouse functions

An individual must be proficient in each of the competencies listed below to successfully perform the responsibilities of this position.

• Experience preferred.
• Good driving record
• Possess DOT Medical Card, or able to obtain one (company paid)
• Ability to operate forklift (will train/certify)
• Ability to properly perform workload physically and timely.
• Good customer relations
• Consistency with good work habits

Physical Activities

• Driving a company owned vehicle.
• May work with substances that require special handling.
• Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions.
• Moves over sloping and/ or uneven surfaces.
• Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Moves, lifts, carry and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Sit for extended periods of time.

Work Environment
A driver's work environment will mainly be in the cab of a truck, at job sites, and at various Billows locations. Truck routes are in both city areas and suburban areas. You will be around forklifts and pump jacks in the loading/unloading areas in most of our locations. There will be changes in temperature according to the seasonal weather. Billows provides T shirts, sweatshirts, and reflective vests/jackets for your safety.
