Are you passionate about software development and excited by the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge aviation app? Join our team in Bakery Square, Pittsburgh, and help us bring this innovative project to life!

We’re building a digital aviation community app, similar to Strava but designed for pilots. With the app already 70% complete, your contributions will be critical to our goal of launching in Q1 2025. You’ll collaborate with our talented team in-office 3–4 days per week to refine and expand the app’s features.

Here’s a glimpse into the tech stack and challenges you’ll work on:

• Ruby on Rails application with Postgres as the database.
• PostGIS integration for complex Geographic Information System (GIS) functionality.
• Devise token authentication for secure authorization.

• React application for user interface, including user login, profile management, and pilot logbook functionality.
• Building IOS app 

• Data ingestion and processing powered by Apache Airflow using Python.
• Data flows into Google Cloud Storage (GCS), processed through Airflow pipelines, and stored in BigQuery for analysis.
• Optimized search capabilities provided by pushing data to Google Datastore, ensuring fast and efficient querying for large datasets.

• Collaborate with the team to develop and enhance features in the Rails backend and React frontend.
• Debug and resolve software issues
• Build and launch an ios app 
• Work on integrating and optimizing data pipelines for real-time performance.
• Build tests
• Solve problems

• Strong coding skills demonstrated by past projects (please provide examples).
• Ability to work 3–4 days per week in our Pittsburgh Bakery Square office to collaborate with the team.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, React, or GIS tools is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to an innovative product.

• $90,000 annual salary.
