BLENDING ASSOCIATE
Kinpak LLC, a world leader in Marine and RV care products, has an immediate opening for a hands-on Blending Associate. Kinpak LLC houses a bottle blowing operation, research and development lab, formulation blending area, multiple high speed filling lines, and a computerized storage warehouse and distribution terminal. Some of the products produced include cleaners, polishes, protectants, antifreezes, waterproofers, mildew control items, oil, fuel additives, lubricants, and sealants.
Functions of the Job
- Fulfill production demand by reading reports and fulfilling blend production orders.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, productivity expectations, and SOP's.
- Investigate equipment performance issues and troubleshoot.
- Measure, weigh, and mix raw materials according to blend sheet procedures, .
- Identify and organize all incoming raw materials and storage, maintaining a first-in, first-out rotation.
- Notify and make recommendations to management regarding issues concerning the operation of the blending function.
- Operate pumps and valves to move products between mix tanks, IBC storage totes, and production lines.
- Operate flow meters and supply systems for bulk raw materials.
- Hook up hoses to incoming trucks, following proper procedure.
- Measure and gauge products in tanks to determine the number of gallons.
- Scrub tanks by hand and clean tanks to prepare for use.
- Maintain a steady supply of clean IBC storage totes.
Position Requirements:
· Computer/tablet literacy
· Unit conversion skills
· math and reading skills
· reading comprehension and diligent adherence to directions
· ability to measure and weigh
· High school graduate or GED equivalent
· Attention to detail is critical
· One (1) to three (3) years of chemical processing experience in a manufacturing environment
· Proficient with computers, scales, meters, hoists, and mixers
· Forklift experience required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
