Technology Solutions Expert Position Purpose
Responsible for increasing the sales performance for the Oklahoma City and Tulsa markets and supporting our new position as a Trimble OEM dealer in Kansas, as well as building a stronger relationship between the Smart Construction team and the sales team.
Technology Solutions Expert Essential Functions
Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One GoalManages the grade control systems utilized in equipment sold, rented, and serviceCoordinates grade control demonstrations with the internal sales force and customersProvides product support and training during demonstrations as well as after-sale support and training.Develops and maintains complete working knowledge of the manufacturer’s smart construction products as well as TopCon Grading SystemsPromotes grade control systems directly with salesman and customers as needed through rental, demos, sales, field visits, and office visitsDevelops an awareness of the competition and competitive products and industry trendsUnderstands customer’s overall equipment needs and identify new areas of business opportunitySells equipment, parts, accessories, rentals, and service as a total customer solution and build long-term relationships within the territory to maximize customer and company profitabilityProvides timely follow-up on each sale to ensure customer satisfactionUses company systems and tools to document, track, follow-up, and capture all sales and product support activity in a timely and accurate mannerPerforms other job-related duties as assignedConsistent and reliable on-site attendanceTechnology Solutions Expert Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or EquivalentExceptional communication skills with the proven ability to effectively present technology information and train new usersAbility to learn heavy equipment operation for the purpose of demonstration and training.Knowledge of and experience with GPS products and problem-solving technical issuesIntermediate to advanced understanding of computer networks, systems and software, and construction-related principlesLand / Construction Surveying knowledge with the ability to utilize Land / Construction Surveying equipmentTechnology Solutions Expert Physical Requirements
Pushes / Pulls / Lifts / Carries up to 50 pounds without assistancePhysical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overheadMust be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes / odorsPhysical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours of time with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workdayAbility to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional conditionThis is considered a Safety-Sensitive position.
