Job Description Summary: We’re seeking a talented & strategic Social Media Manager/Content Creator to join the JOAH Beauty team! This person will be responsible for driving the overall social media & content strategy across all organic social media channels, including creation and execution of a monthly content calendar, social support plans for launches/activations, identifying social trends & owning community management and reporting. This role will work with the JOAH Beauty Brand & Marketing team, & report directly to the Director of Marketing. Our ideal candidate is beauty-obsessed (preferably makeup and skincare) with a team player attitude, excellent communication & writing skills & is a multi-tasker that will reach deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Job Description: Job Description Build out short & long-term social media strategies for the JOAH Beauty brand Regularly identify social trends & strategize opportunities for the brand to engage Development of social calendar across all organic social channels – including support for new launches & promotions Work closely with brand marketers, creative, e-commerce teams to develop and deploy content in a timely fashion including TikTok, IG, IG Stories, You Tube, FB, Twitter, live events, takeovers, press events, etc. Oversee community management across all social platforms, with flexibility on monitoring during big events Build the brand community through strategic and tactical actions– (Insta takeovers, giveaways, building influencer relationships, ambassador programs, responding to product related questions and concerns, customer related inquiries including order status updates, etc.) Review & craft copy and visual content for all social channels (FB, IG, TW & TikTok) working closely with the brand marketing team Partner closely with the creative team for content planning and creation of assets to support the yearly marketing calendar focuses Monitor and report regularly on product feedback, online reviews, brand sentiment, competitive, KPIs and other performance metrics or goals. Participate in weekly social brainstorms & meetings, drafting agenda’s & recaps Collaborate closely with cross-functioning teams for ongoing social support for retailers & joahbeauty.com Manage coordination with internal social content creators in addition to your own content creation Review & approve produced social content by cross-functional/external teams (TikTok, IG stories, IGTV & Reels) – must be able to provide clear feedback & edits Stay up to date on emerging digital and social technology trends to ensure brand is always on the cutting edge all changes in the social space. Brings thought leadership to the team regarding social media strategies and tactics that will help us achieve our goals. Reports on competitive brand activities and leading brands creating dynamic consumer engagement that are worthy of evaluation and monitoring. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience as a social media manager and content creator preferably in the beauty space. Experienced with social content calendar planning and content execution, production cycles, including writing creative briefs and preparing model and product mood boards In-depth understanding of social media platforms (specifically TikTok and Instagram) from both a paid & organic perspective Experience with social media, reporting & analysis Deep and proven knowledge of all aspects of social media and relevant platforms and community management. You have proven work experience as a community manager & knowledge of digital marketing. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment & meet changing deadlines on multiple projects Strong problem-solving & troubleshooting skills Excellent verbal communication & writing skills Works well under pressure & has a flexible & positive attitude Attention to detail & ability to multitask Strong project management skills Up to date on relevant cultural events Passionate about beauty, specifically cosmetics and skincare Highly detail oriented. Works well independently and as part of a team. Well organized. Strong communication skills. Deep understanding of beauty category and the emotional and functional aspects driving brand affinity and desirability. Comfortable working in fast paced environment. Proactive and thinks about what is needed in advance and acts accordingly. Can remain calm and professional under pressure while keeping a positive and upbeat attitude. Open to feedback, comfortable with debate and knows how to build productive team relationships. Ability to be flexible – social media happens in real time!
