Auto Body Painter position OPEN!
We're looking for an Auto Body Painter with a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive painting experience to join us. As a Painter, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are painted to the highest quality standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical to the success of our team.
Our facilities are heated and air conditioned - avoid the summer heat.
The RIGHT candidate will have experience working in an automotive repair shop at a car dealership / independent auto body shop.
We are not a production shop, we focus on quality repairs for our customers. Painter will be paid on "flat rate" system; averaging 40-60 hrs week with the potential for more. We consistently have a 2–3-month appointment backlog. Open to a flexible schedule and salary pay scale if desired. No overtime or weekends required except on rare occasion.
Willing to take care of the right person; but not looking to train a newcomer.
Must be a dedicated professional with documented, relevant experience, and the ability to follow direction and work effectively with others, all while meeting deadlines for repair completion.
Qualifications :
Experience working in a collision repair center
Ability to read and understand a repair order / estimate and comprehend information while following instruction
Ability to work independently with minimal instruction; accepting of feedback when received and adapts when needed
Good judgment
Valid driver’s license
High School diploma or equivalent
All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, priming, and masking
- Mix paint to match the original color of the vehicle
- Apply paint to vehicles using a spray gun
- Painting (base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats), blending adjacent panels, and paint correcting vehicles
- Ensure that all painted surfaces are free from imperfections
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
