JOB SUMMARY:
The Mailroom Supervisor’s primary responsibility includes, but is not limited to, overseeing the daily operations of the mailroom and any reporting staff, at all times striving to meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of the customer’s employees in their requests. Consistently works in an enthusiastic, positive, motivated, professional, detail- and deadline-oriented manner, with an ongoing commitment to increasing customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Prepares work schedules and coordinates workflow throughout the mailroom.
· Understand the use of task-related equipment and be able to provide support in the completion of tasks for the customer. Keeps equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
· Provides cross-training to staff and assists in staff evaluations and promoting their individual growth within a team environment.
· Work with vendors to maintain equipment and insure optimal performance.
· Identifies and meets or exceeds the requirements of all requests for mailroom services.
· Evaluates and ensures the quality and accuracy of all materials and completed requests.
· Coordinates and/or assists in interoffice duties including drop box runs, rush pick-ups, sorting and delivering of mail, and completed projects using both manual and automated methods
· Maintains accurate tracking of jobs, pick-ups/deliveries and other documentation.
· Monitors and maintains supplies and notes when re-orders are needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma, or equivalent.
· Previous experience in a leadership capacity and/or demonstrated leadership abilities.
· Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
· Work involves quality control and a strong attention to detail.
· Work involves varying degrees of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion. In addition, must be able to lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepare any volume mailings including folding items and inserting into envelopes, or operating automated equipment.
· Follows schedule of designated mail runs.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.50 - $23.50 per hour
