The Safety Engineer serves as the primary enforcement person for the KPRS safety program. Conduct safety surveys, issues safety notices, and provide accurate and thorough jobsite safety survey reports.
Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to applicable regulations under Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, policies of the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (CAL/OSHA), and other relevant state and local policies regarding the safety and health of workers. Conduct monthly jobsite safety surveys to include written and photographic documentation. Review site safety documentation to ensure accuracy and completion.
This role involves on-site supervision and safety oversight for various construction projects across different locations.
*The position requires FULL-TIME TRAVEL across the country to multiple job sites.*
Skills
Understanding of safety principles, regulations, and standards, including OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA. Proficient communication and leadership skills. Work effectively with other members of the project team, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure that safety is always a top priority on the job site. Proficient in Procore, vendor services software, Zoom, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe/Bluebeam.

Experience
The Safety Engineer has 2 years of experience in safety or construction management. Often has a bachelor’s degree in safety or related field.
