Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and related systems to identify issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including brake repair and equipment repair.
- Utilize hand tools and welding techniques as needed for repairs and modifications.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace components such as shocks, struts, and other essential parts.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction equipment/tractor repair, specifically with diesel engines.
- Familiarity with various hand tools and diagnostic equipment used in the industry.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
