About the Role:
As a Facilities Associate, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing facility in Petaluma is upkept, maintained, and clean. The ideal candidate will be reliable and a proactive problem-solver, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Safely perform general clean-up of all indoor office areas of the facility by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
- Gather and empty trash from office areas, breakrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and consumables
- Replenishes water dispensers
- Performs grounds keeping and building maintenance duties. Provides proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, and other grounds features
- Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic debris
- Supports the Maintenance department as needed
- Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
- Works with Facilities Supervisor to coordinate outside services as required
- Adheres and complies with the cleaning schedule
- Adheres to safety rules and ergonomic practices
- Responsible for keeping and maintaining tools and equipment provided
- Performs other duties as necessary
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a janitorial or facilities maintenance role; preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift experience is a plus
- EHS knowledge such as responding to spills or working with chemicals is a plus
- General plumbing / facility repair knowledge is a plus
