Position Summary:

  • The Vice President of Financial Operations oversees the day-to-day financial operations including coordination of the company payroll, financial benefit administration, accounts payable, compliance, cash flow management, budget management and other accounts receivable ensuring accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. The VP of Financial Operations works collaboratively with internal employees and external vendors across KVC Health Systems and Subsidiaries to maintain strong relationships. This role drives process improvements, ensures compliance with regulations, and utilizes innovative solutions to meet and exceed organizational goals. The VP of Financial Operations is a trusted leader, recognized for excellent technical expertise, management skills, and interpersonal effectiveness to support KVC’s mission, vision, and goals.

Pay:

  • Final compensation will be commensurate with level of education, experience, and certifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration from an accredited college or university

Experience:

  • 10 years of progressive management experience in accounting operations, with knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. CPA/MBA preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Valid Auto Insurance
  • At least 21 years old

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Oversight

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Accounts Payable team, Payroll team and Other Accounts Receivable Team, fostering collaboration and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage and oversee all payroll functions, accounts payable functions, other accounts receivable functions, compliance, cash flow management and finance operations budget management.
  • Assist in coordination and completion of the annual budget process for finance operations.
  • Evaluate vendor payment performance and collaborate to implement process improvements.
  • Works collaboratively with internal employees and external vendors across KVC Health Systems and Subsidiaries to maintain strong relationships and provide quality customer service.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term plans to support cash flow.
  • Develop and maintain efficient invoice processing and procurement. Enhance and implement accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems to capture automated validation of policy compliance (i.e. procurement policy and approval authorities).
  • Validate new vendors are in compliance with Sam.gov in accordance with federal funding requirements.
  • Manage entire payroll process of organization including payroll audits, ensuring accuracy and transparency in all payroll related activities.
  • Compliance with local, state and federal payroll reporting requirements.

Performance and Process Improvement

  • Promotes a culture of high performance with a commitment to quality accurate work with continuous improvement in policies and procedures using best practices.
  • Conduct needs assessments and introduce innovations, such as AI, to improve operational efficiency and outcomes.
  • Monitor KVC provided staff training on phishing scams is completed by all staff timely to maintain compliance with data privacy regulations, protect client data and protect against fiscal losses for the company.
  • Monitor compliance to adhere to rules, regulations, and standards that govern financial reporting and recordkeeping.

Education and Reporting

  • Conduct training and staff development on finance operations relative to the operational reporting area (payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.)
  • Provide regular productivity and performance reporting, using data to drive operational improvements.
  • Provide CFO and EVP of Finance cash flow projections.
  • Develop written communications and provide email follow-up on behalf of KVC. Operational Management
  • Ensure the day-to-day management of finance operations, focusing on optimal performance and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain processes for timely payroll, payment to vendors, payment to KVC from vendors/donors.
  • Ensure day-to-day management of cash flow projections and provide daily/weekly management reporting.
