What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) - Overnights position at KVC Kansas Health System?
Location: St. James, MO
As a Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) , you will provide for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to your cottage and facilitate a healthy group living experience. You will also participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients. This position is great start to gain experience in the mental health/social services fields!
Pay :
- $15.00-$17.00 Depending on Experience and Education
Schedule:
- Full-Time and Part-Time
- Overnight Shift
Responsibilities:
- Provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients, including:
- Providing meals and snacks
- Assisting with personal care
- Monitoring medication
- Intervening in crisis situations
- Facilitate a healthy group living experience, including:
- Creating a positive and supportive environment
- Managing conflict and enforcing house rules
- Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients, including: Attending treatment team meetings
- Providing input and implementing on treatment plans
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Class E driver's license with good driving record
- Strong customer service focus
- Excellent time management
- Oral and written communication skills
- Word, Excel, and e-mail applications proficiency
- Must be 21 years old to apply
- Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required
