Toddler Teacher Position
A toddler teacher is responsible for creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for toddlers, implementing age-appropriate activities that promote their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, while closely monitoring their safety and well-being, actively communicating with parents about their child's progress, and ensuring a positive and engaging classroom experience; requiring a deep understanding of child development stages and the ability to build rapport with young children.
Key responsibilities of a toddler teacher:
Curriculum development:
· Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that focus on language skills, motor skills, social interactions, and basic concepts like colors, shapes, and numbers.
· Child observation:
· Regularly observe and document each child's developmental milestones and individual needs to provide personalized support.
Classroom management:
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment, establishing clear routines and positive behavior expectations.
· Parent communication:
· Regularly communicate with parents about their child's progress, concerns, and developmental milestones through conferences, daily reports, and other methods.
· Social-emotional development:
· Foster positive social interactions among children by encouraging cooperation, sharing, and conflict resolution skills.
Play-based learning:
· Utilize various play-based activities, including imaginative play, sensory experiences, and outdoor activities, to facilitate learning.
· Individualized attention:
· Provide individualized support to address each child's unique needs and learning styles.
Safety procedures:
· Ensure the safety of children at all times by following established safety protocols and maintaining supervision during activities.
Collaboration:
· Work effectively with other staff members to create a cohesive educational program and share best practices.
· Required skills and qualifications:
· Knowledge of child development:
· A thorough understanding of toddler developmental stages and appropriate learning expectations.
Excellent communication skills:
· Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing

· The ability to provide a calm and supportive environment for young children
Creativity and flexibility:

· Physical ability:

Early Childhood Education credentials (preferred): CDA or a relevant teaching certificate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.50 - $18.50 per hour
