SUMMARY
The Specialist Import/Export 2 is responsible for administrative functions in the areas of import, clearance of items, customs, and receiving.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED is required
2 or more years of experience in an administrative support role (in a manufacturing/logistics organizationpreferred)
Experience in projects requiring attention to detail & accuracy
Knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes/tools
Proficient with Excel, and other MS office products
Ability to work with other people, both internally and externally
Ability to meet ITAR compliant working conditions
Ability to speak verbally in English
Ability to lift 1-10 lbs. frequently, and 11-25 lbs. rarely
Experience with SAP a plus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Entry inputs and electronic filing with US Customs through a web based portal.
2.Corresponds via email and/or verbally with freight forwarders on a daily basis.
3.Creates delivery order and arranges freight pick up.
4.Archives and scans all customs entries once completed.
5.Posts Entry Audit/Statement processing.
6. Vendor Payables including processing/ coding freight bills and freight forwarding charges weekly.
7. Ocean Shipment tracking and tracing daily using web portals.
8. Monitors daily inbound freight and identifies discrepancies in SAP.
9. Coordinates order discrepancies with outside sales and customer service staff by email or phone.
10. Filing AES (Automated Export System) records in US web portal.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; E.G. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 2 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
