Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and be proficient in various repair and maintenance tasks. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The Maintenance Person will work independently and as part of a team to address maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Utilize logic controllers to troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated systems.
- Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain the aesthetic quality of facilities.
- Operate tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and repairs.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot effectively.
- Supervise minor repair projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Weld components as necessary to repair or fabricate equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including the ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in facility management.
- Strong skills in residential painting techniques.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience in supervising small teams or projects is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
