Job Title : Custodial Supervisor– Full-Time with Benefits

Department : Maintenance

Reports To : Director of Operations

Salary : $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, Full-Time / Non-Exempt (Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat)

Position Summary : Lakeside Chautauqua is a non-profit organization located on one square mile of waterfront property on the Marblehead Peninsular. While we operate year-round, our busy season is from Memorial Day until Labor Day when we welcome thousands of guests to enjoy all that Lakeside has to offer.

This position will operate within the Maintenance department and will be responsible for maintaining and improving the physical facilities of the Lakeside Association. This includes ensuring regular and deep cleaning of all Lakeside facilities including group and seasonal housings, all public bathrooms and emptying trash and recycling containers throughout the campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : (To include other duties that may be assigned.)

• Uphold the highest quality cleaning standards.
• Schedule and supervise seasonal staff.
• Create cleaning schedules for each building to ensure they receive both regular and deep cleaning.
• Train seasonal staff
• Clean and supply designated building areas (restrooms, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, etc.)
• Gather and empty trash receptacles around Lakeside Campus.
• Set up and tear down chairs, tables and equipment in meeting rooms, and functions.
• Ability to use cleaning and sanitizing along with protective equipment provided if needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment including carts, storage areas, closets & equipment.
• Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor.
• Display effective time management in the performance of duties.

Language Skills :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the operation.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, climb or balance; specific vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift heavy equipment and material. Must be able to frequently move tables and chairs. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, etc. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment :

Riding in or driving a vehicle (golf cart or truck), walking the grounds in many different types of weather and being able to make quick judgements.
