Sr. Business Process Analyst - Accounting Operations

As a  Sr. Business Process Analyst you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, implement system enhancements, and streamline operations in areas like cost accounting, accounts payable, and receivables. Your role will be key in optimizing workflows, reducing manual tasks, and ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives. Essential Functions

• Work closely with cross functional areas to create detail specifications for all process improvement and development tasks.
• Serve as the link between Accounting, Finance and IT, championing idea generation, justification of recommended change, specification creation, through testing and confirming implementation.
• Analyze business processes, document workflows and communicate corrective action plans.
• Maintain general knowledge of all business practices and systems.
• Evaluate, Validate, Strategize and Enhance processes to eliminate and or reduce time wasted on manual and antiquated tasks.
• Analyze and review Technological enhancements for compatibility, adhere to operating guidelines and perform integration testing.
• Identification and elimination of manual processes and procedures within Cost Accounting, Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables.
• Assist in creating a plan for knowledge transfer to adequately support preparation efforts to transition project workloads as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting /Finance and 7 years of relevant work experience in cost accounting/manufacturing 
• Preferred experience with ERP implementations and support (project team member)
• Ability to juggle multiple projects/assignments in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrate expertise in resolving accounting issues and identifying accounting errors and discrepancies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with business units to understand end-users needs and requirements.
• Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
• Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal & external).
• Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Companywide policies to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to liability.
• Special projects or work as assigned.

Work Environment: 

This is primarily an office classification, and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. May work offsite in various environments; travel may be required. 

Physical Demands and Travel Requirements:

• The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries reports, records, and other materials that typically weigh less than 30 pounds.

Compensation/Benefits:

The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
