Description
Landus Cooperative is currently seeking an individual that will safely haul grain, fertilizer, and associated materials and equipment between locations while maintaining a clean & efficient running truck and trailer. Local runs allow for home every night, very few exceptions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Proper communications with truck dispatcher, shop personnel, and regional transportation supervisor.
- Haul grain, dry & liquid fertilizer to and from farms and between company locations.
- Liquid & dry fertilizer tending to applicators.
- Efficient operation of semi tractor and trailer.
- Operate semi truck / trailer in a safe and professional manner.
- Knowledge of vehicle equipment.
- Follow all Landus Cooperative safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all State and federal driving laws.
- Follow all applicable state DOT rules and regulations.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections.
- Participate in company DOT drug and alcohol program.
- Maintain clean truck / trailer.
- Monitor vehicles for regular maintenance / service needs.
- Assist with vehicle repair and maintenance when needed on the road or in the shop.
- Complete daily truck log sheets properly.
- Assist all departments with operational duties as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
