Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Upholds Clinical Standards of PHI
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dental practice, ensuring optimal workflow and patient care.
- Develop and implement efficient office procedures and protocols to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage the practice’s schedule, ensuring adequate staffing and optimal appointment scheduling.
- Ensure that patient information is properly recorded and maintained in accordance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Manage orders for office supplies, medications, and dental supplies.
- Ensure effective operation of clinical recording and retention systems.
- Collaborate with various departments to resolve patient care issues and maintain productivity.
- Ensure proper staffing levels for all PARs, Dental Assistants, and Dental Referral Coordinators at all dental departments
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in dental practice management or a similar role within a healthcare setting for two (2) or more years
- Five (5) or more years of experience in the dental setting
- Current certification as a Dental Assistant preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; Associate’s degree accepted
- The above requirements (certification and/or educational attainment) may be reconsidered by the Senior Leadership after evaluation of applicant’s leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOH, and HIPAA regulations.
- Experience with HRSA and AAAHC accreditation standards preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and various departments.
- Proficient in dental office software and electronic health records systems.
- Communicates effectively; uses good judgment and discretion; is professional in appearance and attitude; demonstrates customer-friendly behavior at all times.
