Position Client Funds Specialist
Position Summary:
The Client Funds Specialist is an ambitious, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual who can work in a team environment as well as independently. The Client Funds Specialist will report to the Controller as a team member of the Finance Department of Langton Green, Inc.
The Client Funds Specialist provides a complex level of coordination and support requiring judgement and discretion. The Client Funds Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of the people we support. This includes but is not exclusive to being the liaison to ensure entitlements for the people supported in our Community Living program.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collect, research, and pay invoices for the people we support. Which includes communication with vendors to resolve outstanding issues and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Track and reconcile client personal expenses, client external bank accounts, and personal funds managed by Langton Green staff.
- Track client balances to ensure accounts do not exceed SSA limits. Submit client paystubs to SSA monthly and provide accountings of client funds to SSA annually. Participate in SSA redeterminations. Apply to be rep payee for individuals new to Langton Green.
- Complete SNAP benefit applications, redeterminations, and process SNAP benefit reimbursements.
- Communicate with LGI staff and family members as needed to provide necessary information and to answer questions. Complete requests in a timely manner.
- Create and send invoices for monthly fees.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of Social Security disability benefits Medical Assistance and Medicare benefits, SNAP, ABLE, the DDA waivers and other governmental benefits
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Proven coordination and administrative skills.
- Well organized, flexible, and able to embrace the administrative challenges of supporting multiple people.
- Ability to troubleshoot, design, implement, and manage systems that contribute to an efficient working environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail with excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Executive management, senior staff, volunteers, and peers.
- Creative, results oriented, and energetic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must have a minimum of High School diploma and two years of relevant experience.
