In the pursuit of this mission, Everett High School is hiring a Theatre Teacher. We are seeking a passionate and creative High School Theatre Teacher to inspire students through dynamic instruction in acting, stagecraft, and performance. This role offers the opportunity to lead a vibrant theatre program, fostering students’ artistic expression, collaboration, and confidence both on and off the stage. \n- Bachelor's degree in theatre, performing arts, music, or music education required (or related field)
- Michigan Teacher Certification in Art, Music, or English strongly preferred
- Previous successful experience teaching in an urban high school environment
- Previous performing arts experience
- Previous experience putting on large scale drama productions in a school or community theatre environment
- Knowledge of restorative justice practices
- Knowledge of stagecraft and dramatic production
