What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Worker position at Lapeer County Community Mental Health?
Significant Duties: Face to face, hands-on direct services opportunity in an activities program for persons with developmental disabilities. Function as part of a person-centered and directed support team. Ability to help lift wheelchair-bound consumers during toileting, transferring and repositioning will be required. Assisting people with personal needs and feeding also required. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications: Relevant experience. Prefer motivated, energetic individuals with experience working with persons with developmental disabilities and/or skills in arts and crafts, language development & physical therapy. Valid Michigan Driver’s License required.
