What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-House Counsel position at Larson Maddox?
My client is looking for an in-house legal counsel to join their team!
In this position, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel on a range of topics within the hospital/healthcare organization, drafting and negotiating contracts, supporting transactions, analysis and mitigation of compliance issues and identifying new and emerging areas of risk.
Responsibilities include:
- approving and reviewing agreements to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, case, law, government regulations, and policy guidelines
- analyzing, advising, negotiating, and drafting legal issues related to healthcare operations (physician, clinical, vendor agreements)
- protecting the organization in negotiations, disputes, and litigation
The ideal candidate will have:
- experience with full contract lifecycle from drafting to negotiation specifically in a healthcare setting
- experience with fraud and abuse (Stark, Anti-Kickback and False Claims Act) compliance
- solid understanding and experience working on healthcare transactions
