Job Summary and Qualifications
The Coordinator Environment Services is responsible for coordinating, planning and scheduling facility management, engineering, and maintenance services. The Coordinator Environmental Services is responsible for clerical functions including typing, filing correspondence, reports, department minutes, and computer management in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Las Palmas Medical Center.
- You will assists in overseeing and scheduling services so systems are inspected and maintained in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements to include fire protection and monitoring systems.
- You will serve as host to personnel performing mandatory inspections to include the Fire Department, Marshall Department, Fire Insurance Groups, etc.
- You will assists Administrative Director in coordinating contract services as needed.
- You will function as primary point of contact for Department. Handles complaints and responds to questions from patients, physicians, visitors, nursing, employees, executives, vendors and contractors. Refers calls, follows up and initiates paperwork. Promotes positive customer service.
- You will maintain department’s educational/training library.
- You will assists in closing and filing completed work orders.
- You will type interdepartmental memos, purchase orders, department minutes, reports, and other correspondence.
- You will serve as Recording Secretary for Engineering Department. Schedules meetings and takes/files minutes in a timely manner.
- You will maintain and file licenses, certificates and insurances.
- You will serve as Records Liaison for Engineering and Safety Departments.
- You will operate TMA (engineering maintenance management software program).
- You will communicate, cooperate and perform related duties with other members of hospital staff in a courteous and efficient manner to achieve overall hospital goals and objectives.
- You will respond to requests from patients, physicians, visitors, contractors and vendors, in a courteous and efficient manner.
- You will document and file proposals from contractors.
- You will prepare monthly accruals reports for Accounts Payable and Administration.
What qualifications you will need:
- High School Graduate / GED
