Law Firm - Confidential is Hiring a Legal Assistant Near Newburgh, NY

We are a statewide plaintiff's workers compensation law firm seeking to hire a Legal Assistant for our Newburgh office.

Following is a list of some of the duties this person will perform:

* Managing a caseload of client files to insure they are moving forward.

* Proactively contacting clients to keep them updated on the status of their case.

* Insure that files have the necessary documentation needed for the client to receive Workers Compensation benefits.

* Respond to client's questions/concerns in a timely manner.

* Become familiar with workers compensation guidelines.

The majority of the duties this person will perform will be in the area of client contact. To be considered for this position, candidates must be well organized and able to meet deadlines.

The following attributes/skills are needed for anyone in this position:

* A Bachelor's degree and/or a Paralegal Certificate.

* A positive and caring personality.

* Excellent computer skills.

* Prior law firm experience would be a plus. Bi-lingual (Spanish) also a plus.

* Ability to multi-task and work independently.
