Opening Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen ability to handle transactions accurately while providing an exceptional experience for our guests. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in our café, ensuring that customers feel welcomed and valued while managing their orders seamlessly.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
• Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
• Upsell menu items and promote special offers to enhance the customer experience.
• Assist with food preparation and ensure food safety standards are met during handling.
• Maintain cleanliness in the café area, including bussing tables and cleaning up spills promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner, ensuring satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
• A passion for working in a café setting and providing excellent service is essential.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
