Key Responsibilities

Comprehensive System Evaluation
- Analyze the electrical distribution network to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and execute a forward-looking four-year maintenance and construction strategy.

System Optimization Collaboration
- Partner with team members to assess load flow, short circuit conditions, and relay protection schemes.
- Perform advanced studies, including voltage regulation, arc flash analysis, and system coordination.

Future-Proofing Infrastructure
- Anticipate system demands by planning upgrades that accommodate growth and higher energy loads.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in software for spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
- Math Proficiency: Strong foundation in trigonometry, calculus, algebra, and analytical geometry.
- Industry Tools: Experience with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories products or similar technologies is a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with NERC and FERC standards; SPP experience is advantageous.

- Licensing: Valid New Mexico driver's license; compliance with drug testing policies required.
