Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Community Director to manage and enhance the operations of our residential community. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, driving occupancy growth, maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and building a strong sense of community among residents. Additionally, your ability to upsell community features, amenities, and services will play a vital role in creating a desirable living experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Community Operations
- Assist in overseeing all facets of community operations, including leasing, maintenance, resident services, and financial performance.
- Regularly monitor property performance metrics and implement strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
- Ensure all administrative tasks, such as resident applications, lease management, and payment processing, are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify and address safety concerns, maintenance needs, and aesthetic enhancements.
Resident Experience
- Build and nurture positive relationships with residents through effective communication, responsiveness, and conflict resolution.
- Organize community events and initiatives to foster engagement and build a vibrant community culture.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resident concerns, resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
Leasing and Marketing
- Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to drive traffic and maximize occupancy.
- Partner with the leasing team to promote community features, ensuring prospective and current residents understand the value of living in our community.
- Negotiate lease agreements and renewals while delivering exceptional customer service throughout the process.
- Monitor and adjust market rates in collaboration with leadership to remain competitive.
Compliance and Training
- Ensure all operations comply with Fair Housing regulations, local/state laws and requirements.
- Train and supervise on-site staff to deliver superior service and maintain adherence to company policies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records for audits and inspections, ensuring compliance standards are consistently met.
Team Leadership
- Inspire and lead the community team by fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support staff development by providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure goals are met.
- Act as a liaison between the on-site team and upper management, communicating key updates and priorities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Proven experience in property management.
- Customer Service: A resident-centric approach with strong customer service skills and a track record of enhancing resident satisfaction.
- Sales and Marketing: Demonstrated ability to upsell services and features within a residential community, coupled with knowledge of innovative marketing techniques.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Fair Housing laws.
- Administrative Skills: High proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate resident files and community records.
- Conflict Resolution: Skilled in managing conflicts and negotiating solutions that align with resident and organizational goals.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
- Organization: Strong organizational and time management abilities to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in property management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and marketing platforms is an advantage.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
