Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Perform order picking and ensure accurate inventory management using a warehouse management system.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform basic maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Assist in heavy lifting and transporting goods throughout the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Experience with warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management practices and procedures.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required.
• Basic math skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
• Familiarity with equipment repair techniques is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
