The position of Field Supervisor will report to the Operations Manager – Ready Mix Concrete located in Vancouver WA / Portland ORKey Targets of the Role
- This role is responsible for leading, supervising and directing Ready-Mix truck drivers to ensure safe, efficient & professional concrete service and delivery. This role will also have a strong presence in administering our RMC safety, environmental & sustainability programs across the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area
- Direct and supervise RMC Drivers.
- Manage overtime and shift schedules.
- Assist in hiring/ discipline /training and ensure safety and environmental compliance of the work force meets company standards.
- Responsible for regular safety meetings, administration of policy in coordination with Safety Department
- Mentor and coach employees to work as a team
- Responsible for formal training of RMC drivers to drive a professional & safe driving culture
- Close liaison and working with sales, production, dispatch, maintenance & QC functions to ensure delivery of a top-class service to customers
- Manage drivers to ensure delivery of monthly revenue, margin & RCO targets
- Other duties as required
- Strong focus on safety and promoting a positive safety culture
- Experience in Concrete industry preferred
- Organized and have multi-tasking attitude
- Proficient in MS word and Excel
- 5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial setting
- Experience supervising an hourly workforce
- Experience creating, managing and directing maintenance programs
- Familiar with local, State and Federal regulations for safety and environmental compliance
