Summary
Provides financial and statistical information to management, staff, and external customers in compliance with internal and external requirements.
Job Duties
- Assists in the preparation of the monthly financial statement and prepares the variance analysis.
- Acts as a resource to other departments within the network for accounting-related issues and assists in ad hoc projects and assignments.
- Performs comparative analysis of financial information to identify solutions to accounting issues and highlights areas for management.
- Performs analysis of financial information and provides relevant and actionable information to appropriate decision makers.
- Prepares journal entries and other source inputs into the general ledger in compliance with internal closing schedules, GAAP, and internal policies. Reconciles general ledger inputs and balances.
- Applies accounting theory to difficult or unusual accounting transactions or issues.
- Coordinates entries with departments within the network to ensure the accuracy and consistency of accounting data.
- Develops and maintains systems of logs and records of financial activity to support accounting entries, information, and reports.
- Prepares benefit allocation and incentive entries and reviews for completeness and accuracy.
- Performs analysis of actual and budget data. Assists in the projection of financial information and completion of budget based on historical trends and other operating variables.
