Summary
This position oversees branch operations, supervises frontline team, ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service and fosters employee development through training and coaching to inspire actions that increase engagement and productivity to meet branch and organizational goals.
Position Overview
- Responsible for the day-to-day operational integrity and management of the branch including professional appearance and functionality of the branch facilities.
- Hire, train and coordinate direct reports to ensure that staffing levels are adequate and employees are cross trained.
- Approve timecards, paid time off, overtime for each frontline employee within established policies. Keeps accurate payroll and attendance records.
- Develop frontline team through ongoing coaching and proactive mentoring to enhance their skills. Build relationships through regular 1on1s for training and guidance.
- Track individual progress and conduct performance reviews on each employee. As appropriate, recommend promotions or formulate and implement corrective action.
- Follow company policies and procedures and ensure adherence by direct reports.
- Learn and adapt quickly to new information and technology and effectively implement changes with branch team.
- Develop relationships and positive rapport with customers, bank departments, employees and vendors.
- When necessary, assist customers with account opening, teller transactions, Reg E disputes, check adjustments and miscellaneous requests.
- Ensure branch team understands and proactively assists customers with bank products and services to drive results.
- Ability to handle multiple demands and readily shift priorities to support direct reports in daily tasks.
- Ensure timely completion of branch certifications.
- Keep leadership informed of branch activities, progress toward established objectives, and any significant challenges where support is needed.
- Support Bank Operations as needed.
Knowledge and Skills
- Solid knowledge of bank operations and regulations to effectively run the branch.
- Effective leadership skills to hire, train and mentor employees.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills required to balance customer and employee needs.
- Accuracy in handling cash, balancing a cash drawer and entering customer. transactions into the computer.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to professionally and positively represent the bank to customers and interact with branch team and leadership.
- Knowledge of core banking systems.
- Effective follow up skills and strong attention to detail.
Physical Demands
- Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (coin bags).
This is an in-person position. Remote work is not available for this role.
