Job Title: Paint Booth Operator
Department: Sheet Metal Department
Forest Parkway, Shelton, CT

Summary: The Paint Booth Operator is responsible for supporting production, quality, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance by powder coating finished and in process parts. Once powder coated the operator will run an industrial oven to cure the paint In between paint assignments the operator will run other machine processes to help fulfill product orders

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The technical aspects will include but are not limited to:

• Initiates proper procedures in coating materials to various surfaces by brushing, rolling and spraying.
• Takes measures to ensure item is properly coated and meets surface protection requirements.
• Operate spray gun in spray booth.
• Set up, operate or tend machines to coat or paint any of a wide variety of products.
• Promptly report to supervisor all observations that are relevant to ensure a safe and efficient operation in the department.
• Use good judgment in performing tasks correctly the first time through.
• Provide input to help improve the performance of the department.
• Perform tasks while complying with company safety policies.
• Work overtime when needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

High School Diploma
Ability to read blue prints, schematics, and other manufacturing information.
Ability to maintain a good attendance record in order to timely build products per customer order timelines.
Good attention to detail and skilled in assembling products that meet quality standards.
Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in metric and English units of measure.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted throughout the day.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
