ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Position: Warehouse Specialist
Job Location: Savannah
Job Type: Full-Time
Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Day Shift, M-F
Summary of the Role
This position will be responsible for, picking product from the warehouse, quality control shipping and receiving, and where required, delivery of products to customers.
Responsibilities
- Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
- Receives incoming shipments into inventory, posts in online system and places items in warehouse
- Picks product in warehouse and prepares items for delivery or shipping using automated bagging machine system both domestically and internationally
- Makes recommendations to management with respect to product and process improvements
- Assists with physical inventory
- Maintains expected business level of quality control on all items shipped
- Delivers product as required
- Performs other related duties as required
Skills and Abilities
- Immediate computer skills a must. Prefer experience working in ERP or Inventory system such as Prelude. Basic computer skills in MS Office, internet and email
- Excellent attention to detail
- Applicants should possess the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner. Some leadership experience a plus.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure. Additionally, must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office, internet and email
- The ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of warehousing or production experience in an industrial setting
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record are required.
